(Please read these Terms & Booking Conditions before signing the Booking Form)
- Apartment B3 Le Schuss, Apartment 17, Les Cimes, and Apartment B18, Les Champs de la Plagne, Morzine, France, hereinafter referred to as ‘the apartments’ are offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Mr & Mrs Hans and Rosie Kolster, hereinafter referred to as ‘the owners’ to the person named on the booking form hereinafter referred to as ‘the client’.
- To reserve an apartment the client should complete and sign the booking form, return it to us, and make the deposit payment of 20% of the rental price. On receipt of the deposit, the owners will confirm the booking. Payment of the balance should be made no less than 10 weeks before the start of the rental period.
- The balance of the total cost is payable 10 weeks before the rental period. If payment is not received, the owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The client will remain liable to pay the balance of rent unless the owners are able to re-let the apartment. Reservations made within 10 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
- Cancellation: if the client cancels the booking more than ten weeks before the check-in date, the deposit, and any further payment already received, will be refunded. If the client cancels at any time within ten weeks of the start of the rental period, there will be no refund.
- Insurance: The client is recommended to arrange comprehensive travel insurance from the moment of booking (including cancellation cover), baggage, personal belongings, medical cover and public liability etc. If the client needs to cancel within 10 weeks of their holiday, they may be able to claim a refund from their insurance for any money already paid.
- The rental period shall commence at 4pm local time on the first day and finish at 10am local time on the last day, unless other specific arrangements are made for a particular booking. It is important to adhere to these times as it is necessary to clean and prepare the apartment for the next clients.
- The maximum number to reside in the apartment should not exceed 5 people for Le Schuss and Les Champs, and 4 people for Les Cimes. In any event, the number of people should not exceed the number noted at time of booking.
- The client agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the apartment and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. Although a general clean is included in the rental price, the client is asked to remove all rubbish and deposit it in the bins outside; to wash, dry and put away all kitchen equipment/crockery and to leave bedrooms and bathroom in clean and tidy condition. Should the apartment be left in an unacceptable condition, requiring additional cleaning over and above the normal weekly changeover clean, this will be charged. The client also agrees not to act in any way to cause disturbance to residents in neighbouring properties and to abide by the rules set by the management of the building, including storing skis and bikes in the provided locations and not on the balcony of the apartments.
- The client shall report to the owners without delay any defects in the apartment or breakdown in the equipment or appliances in the apartment. Arrangements for repair/replacement will be made as soon as possible. Significant damage or breakages caused by the client will be charged for, while minor breakages made by the client will be overlooked. The decision as to what constitutes ‘significant’ rests with the owners.
- The owners shall not be liable to the client for any temporary defect or stoppage of public services to the apartment, nor in respect of any equipment or appliances in the apartment. Nor for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of any adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owners. The owners are also not liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience cause to or suffered by the client if the apartment shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period. In such an event the owners shall within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.
- Under no circumstances shall the owners’ liability to the client exceed the amount paid by the client for the rental period.
